Karen Corkery, ARNP
Karen was born in Norwood, Massachustetts but, grew up in Clearwater. She returned to Boston to attend college.
After graduating from Boston College in 1987, she started her nursing career serving in the US Army Nurse Corps, stationed at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii.
She was a OB/GYN nurse and worked on a Labor and Delivery unit that averaged 300 deliveries per month.
She completed speciality trainning at Womack Army hospital at FT Bragg, NC which focused on Obtetrics, Gynecology and newborn nursery. Karen was awarded the Army Achievement medal for outstanding performance. Karen continued to work in labor and delivery settings Including St Joseph's women's hospital, as well as out patient settings.ng care of high risk taking care of high risk obtetrical patients.
Karen graduated summa cum laude from University of Florida's graduate nurse practitioner program in 1998. She has been practicing as an advanced registered nurse practitioner focusing on women's health and obstetrics. she also serves as a adjunct clinical faculty for South University, University of Tampa and University of South Florida. she was recently recognized by South University as a community leader and was inducted into their local chapter of Signa Theata Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
