Linda Zimmerman, ARNP
Originally
from Long Island, New York, Linda came to the Tampa Bay area in 2002.
She has thirty-nine years of varied nursing experience, including twenty
years as an OB/GYN Nurse Practitioner. She started her nursing career
in Mid Island hospital, Bethpage, N.Y.,where she worked in all areas
of the hospital, finally settling in the Emergency Department for ten
years. She then went to Mercy Hospital, Rockville Center, N.Y. for
four years working in the Emergency Department.
The time came to make a career change when she was asked to join the Supervisory Staff at Syosset Community Hospital, Syosset, N.Y. working as an evening Supevisor covering the Labor and Delivery Department, ICU and ER. It was here where she developed her passion for Woman’s Health Care. Finishing her Master Degree in Nursing, she became a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She was then hired by Bethpage OB/GYN as a Nurse Practitioner in 1990 and worked there for eleven years.
Since coming to the Tampa Bay area she continues to work in Woman’s Health specializing in Obstretical care, initial Gyn exams and educating woman about health throughout the life cycles. Linda lives with her husband Sam in Apollo Beach, has four children, three Stepchildren, twelve grandchildren, with two new granddaughters soon to be born. Her youngest daughter is a Navy Corpman, stationed in San Diego. Her interests are reading, swimming, painting, boating and traveling.
